The real estate market in the Sea to Sky Corridor continues to heat up this summer. The Whistler/Pemberton market is very active with decreasing inventory resulting in increased anticipation in the market. The US dollar is up when compared to the Canadian dollar ($1 million CAD = $771,000 US) , influencing American & Canadian buyers alike, as they find great value in the Whistler Resort and Second Home Property market .
The real estate market in the Sea to Sky Corridor continues to heat up this summer. The Whistler market is very active with decreasing inventory resulting in increased anticipation in the market. There were 60 sales in June, which amounted to $56 million in transactions – an approximate 9% increase in dollar volume over the month of May. The second quarter numbers are also available at this time. We have seen 185 sales in Whistler for 2015 Q2, up from 180 sales in 2014 Q2. Even more impressive is the increase in total dollar volume of transactions of 25% in 2015 Q2 over 2014 Q2.

There were 13 sales in Pemberton in the month of June, on par with May’s 14 sales. There were approximately $6.2 million in sales in June, up about 11% from May’s $5.6 million. There were approximately $15.3 million in sales for the second quarter of 2015, up approximately 10% over 2014 Q2. Please check out the statistics
The Squamish real estate market is still incredibly busy, with sales of certain property types (apartments, detached homes, and vacant land) double and even triple of what we’ve seen in the past. There were 97 total transactions in Squamish in the month of June and $46 million dollars in sales in June, an increase of approximately 12% over last month and 92% over June of last year in terms of dollar volume. For the second quarter of 2015, there were 252 sales valued at $123 million, a 78% increase in total dollar volume over 2014 Q2. Please check out the statistics
